When compared to 2023, a significant increase in all waste streams is noted. Although every operator is expected by law to organize his own collection of waste, the CBDF still has to finance and organize the collection of thousands of tonnes of waste per month to keep the area clean. Better observation of the law and regulations on the collection and disposal of waste is urged and operators are again reminded to ensure that they have their own arrangements in place for waste collection.

We are pleased to inform you that Infrastructure Malta are embarking on the final phase of the Central Link Junction Underpass Project which is the much needed embellishment of the approach to the Central Business District in front of the MFSA. During a meeting with the Foundation the major projects unit provided an overview of the landscaping which is going to take place using a mixture of plants and indigenous trees and shrubs.

The Central Business District Foundation is inviting interested contractors to express their interest to perform works in relation to the maintenance and repair of roads and pavements within the Central Business District over a period of 12 months, including asphalt road patching, masonry and concreting works as well as pavement and kerb repairs.
