The third meeting of the private sector group was held on 27th march 2025 in one of the board rooms at avenue 77 during which an election was held between the members present to elect the administrators appointed by the private sector.

It has now been a year since i was appointed ceo of the foundation, and i can sincerely say that it has been both an enjoyable as well as a demanding experience with different challenges requiring innovative and timely solutions to ensure the smooth functioning of both the foundation and the district.

When compared to 2023, a significant increase in all waste streams is noted. Although every operator is expected by law to organize his own collection of waste, the CBDF still has to finance and organize the collection of thousands of tonnes of waste per month to keep the area clean. Better observation of the law and regulations on the collection and disposal of waste is urged and operators are again reminded to ensure that they have their own arrangements in place for waste collection.
