Since the implementation of the Traffic Management System in Mriehel, The Foundation in collaboration with the Police Force initiated a patrolling and Rapid Response Pilot project. Two police officers are patrolling the area from Monday to Friday – 8am till 5pm in order to educate, enforce and support the Central Business District as necessary.

Following feedback from employees and operators of the Central Business District the Foundation managed to reach into an agreement in reducing the daily parking rate from €2.50 to €2 per vehicle per day from Monday to Friday from 7am till 6pm and Saturdays from 7am till 12pm. Works are currently ongoing and will be completed by mid-October. These new arrangements will be accompanied by the provision of new car park spaces in a site adjacent to Alter Domus and Homemate.
