The Central Business District Foundation formally known as the Mriehel Enterprise Zone Foundation is a forward looking public private initiative setup specifically to create a long term regeneration vision for l-Imriehel.

The aim of the Foundation is help transform the industrial area into a lively mixed use area focused on international business with green spaces and pedestrian zones. This structure will preclude haphazard initiatives and will support the significant private investment that has occurred and is planned to take place in the medium term.

To date the Private Sector is represented by 30 operators but participation in this public private initiative is ongoing.
