As at today, the Central Business District is still referred to as Imriehel. But irrespective of this, the area is well known and frequented by thousands every year. Over the years, the district experienced substantial development and I must say of a certain quality too. This begs the question of what future we envisage for the district. This is the discussion that we should hold with all interested parties and then work to achieve the goals of everyone as much as possible.

This is not an easy task, but it is a necessary one. It is also necessary that the area gets an upgrade in terms of embellishment. Keeping the place tidy is the bare minimum and this should be the responsibility of everyone, primarily the tenants and those who invested and work here. But embellishing the area is much more than this. The area needs to have open spaces and places where employees and those visiting us can spend some time in a nice and relaxed atmosphere within a busy area. I am also aware of the challenge to find parking spaces. We are exploring every possible opportunity within our means, including the financial ones, to provide adequate parking spaces.

Hopefully when this is achieved, we need to make it easier and safer for pedestrians to walk within the district or at least parts of it. In this endeavour we need the collaboration of everyone, including the property owners. I urge everyone to think on such initiatives and see the wider picture and in the end, one would conclude that this is in the interest of all.

Will we achieve all of the above and more? Only time will tell. But we are determined to upgrade the area and make it an even more pleasant area to visit. But we cannot achieve this on our own. We need you to team up with us for an even brighter future. I thank you in advance for your collaboration and partnership.
