Park and Ride Service

In line with the green credentials of the Central Business District, a park and ride service is provided which is 100% free to the user. The scheduled service is funded by the Central Business District Foundation and is operated through the Malta Public Transport.

The ‘park and ride’ is a circular route service around the Central Business District and can be boarded or alighted at any of the 13 stops that span the boundary of the Central Business District.  Each stop has a sign indicating the exact times the van is expected to pass from that stage.

The times of operation are from 7am to 10am in the morning and from 4pm to 7pm in the evening daily, Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays.  On Friday afternoons, the service starts earlier, that is at 2pm and operates until 5pm.  This is because there is a tendency for some offices to close earlier on Friday. The frequency of the service is every 20 minutes and it is good for the stakeholders that wish to make use of the service to be reminded that the van may be alighted or boarded at any one of the 13 stops.

To note that the service is totally free for the commuter, and the only requirement is to be in possession of a tallinja Card.
