The Foundation is responsible to co-ordinate with Transport Malta and Infrastructure Malta works that are planned to take place within the district. The Foundation notifies impacted businesses beforehand and tries to minimize inconvenience to stakeholders.
The Foundation, in collaboration with TM, also approves full and partial road closures and temporary traffic management arrangements within the district. It is also responsible to do road markings, which are then refreshed on a regular basis. Installing and maintaining signage is also within the competency of the Foundation. Entrance totems found in strategic places and junctions around the District are regularly cleaned and maintained and street plaques are replaced when the need arises.
The Foundation also applies to Transport Malta on behalf of operators for loading and unloading spaces as requested.
CCTV cameras have also been installed in strategic places across the District to assist in traffic management, specifically monitoring one way streets and other dangerous driving.
