Traffic Management Plan – Mrieħel

Update – The new arrangements for traffic management in mriehel commenced on monday 22nd october 2018. as expected, these changes broUght aboUt a number of challenges to commuters in the area.

The Foundation procured the services of policemen and Transport Malta Traffic Management Officers to assist the process as much as possible. Some minor changes were implemented to fine-tune the system and to make it more convenient for employees working here.

The system is far from perfect but the flow of traffic has been improved. Parking still remains a major concern and the Foundation would like to see the use of its temporary carpark being utilised more frequently. Unfortunately, commuters still revert to illegal parking even though this causes unnecessary traffic congestion problems. The Foundation has also decided to subsidise the temporary parking further than originally anticipated with the specific intention to make it more attractive to commuters.

The Foundation would like to thank Transport Malta and all The operators in Mriehel for their continuous support.
